Born in Ayrshire, Scotland, I studied for a BSc (Hons) in Botany from the University of Glasgow. My early career was in science (Botanical science) and agronomy, and working in Developing Countries on sustainable food production. Upon returning from overseas I studied for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Cumbria Institute of the Arts, and currently, I reside in the Lake District.

I am an anarcho-surrealist artist; indie filmmaker with Bardsea-Green Films; performance artist; poet; storyteller and folklorist as the Bard of Cumberland. In 2016 I was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts.
